=============NOVKASTELA ESPERANTA ASOCIO==========
================Newsletter Edition 3: July 2002============

Dear Esperantists,

This newsletter is still sent out to twelve people each month. It is still
in English, but may be freely translated. Our last newsletter was published
in this month's Telopeo, and a short history of the Association will be
published in Telopeo soon.

Our website has changed. S-ro John Gallagher, secretary of the
Australian Esperanto Association, kindly donated the web address
http://www.esperanto.org.au/newcastle.html to us. Unfortunately, the
updated version of the site is still not available. Hopefully it will be soon.

Well, we are up to 6 members now (only 3 of whom actually speak
Esperanto), and our non-Esperanto speaking members are all keen
to learn. Our newest member is Daniel Urquhart. Hopefully they will
learn a bit of Esperanto at our October course.

Association News:
On Saturday, 6th of June, we met at the EcoHome (67a Hobart Rd.
New Lambton 2305). This will be our meeting place on the first Saturday
of every month henceforth. We mainly sanded the paint off their fence,
but had the opportunity to talk about how the group was going, organise
our October course, and have a philosophical discussion about how
we planned to change the world! Hopefully our next meeting will give
us an opportunity to do a bit of business.

On Saturday, 12th of October, we will hold an Esperanto Introductory
Course. This is open to anyone who wants to learn Esperanto, and
will provide the basics so that anyone with a good dictionary can develop
their knowledge of Esperanto. The cost will be $5, going to the expenses
of the Association, and books may be bought on the day. Free help
with Esperanto will be given subsequently. We have had a lot of
interest from the Ba'ha'i faith in Newcastle.

We still haven't found Mrs. James, and would love to hear from her
if anyone knows who she is, or anyone else in the Hunter area who
speaks Esperanto.

Please feel free to contribute any news for our newsletter by sending
it to me. We seem to have a smaller newsletter than last time, but we
are certainly not less busy

G^is baldaux (until soon),

Jonathan Moylan
